How Powerful is Your Pet?

Enter your pet’s resists, stats, and skills to compare them to the max possible for that creature.

All max creature data based on the now-defunct Vetmaster English version of the Japanese web site, and the UO Stratics Hunter’s Guide.

Notes:

Untrained pets (fresh tames) will be compared to the max resists and stats at birth. Trained pets will be compared to the max trainable stat level (125) and the max resists at birth.

*** Since all pets can be trained up in dexterity, the author prefers to mark all pets as Trained with max dexterity (usually 125). That way, low dex won’t hurt the pet’s score (as it can always be trained up).***

Max trained skill level is 100 (GM) unless the creature can be born with skills higher than GM.

Skills are optional. Pets entered without skill data will be evaluated only on their stats and resists.

This calculator weights resists as 65% of the score, hit points as 25% of the score, and stats as 5% of the score. When skills are included, they make up 5% of the score.

In the author’s humble opinion, pets that rate 3.4 and higher are usually “keepers” – good pets. Truly exceptional pets will rate above 4.0. A score of 5 represents a “perfect” pet with max stats, max hit points, and max resists. These are incredibly rare (if not nonexistant).

Huge thanks to Baldguy (aka Paul B) at UOForums, Gyeager, Llewen, and Jimmy Pop at the Stratics Tamer Forum, and everybody else who let me bounce ideas off of them. Without your feedback, this calculator would never have seen the light of day!
